The BEACON program is a new financial assistance
program offered at EKU. BEACON is an acronym for "Bringing Educational
Access to the Commonwealth and our Nation." The program was created
to make a college education more affordable and accessible, to attract
more students into math and science professions and to enhance retention
and graduation rates.
